The Enriched Academics at ECV add learning opportunities above and beyond the standard Nova Scotia Curriculum. Our S.T.EM lab hosts instruction in coding and robotics while outdoor education, fine arts, health and nutrition are also cornerstones of our enrichment stream.
As an institution that places a tremendous amount of value on a healthy mind and a healthy body, students are physically active for at least 60 minutes everyday. Every ECV’er has the opportunity to experience a large variety of sports and games, on and off campus, throughout the school year.
The East Coast Varsity community is student centered. Our students are supported by a strong team of highly qualified, certified and experienced teachers and coaches who are prepared to adapt to multiple intelligences and the different learning styles of individual students.
At the foundation of our planning, teaching and coaching are our Pillars of Character. Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Fairness and Citizenship are traits that are taught, modeled and expected for all to exemplify in the classroom, on the field of play and out in the community.
